Real Tiering, Applied to Claude
Anthropic's real, current lineup follows the exact same lasting tiering pattern already covered generally: a fast, genuinely cost-efficient model — currently Claude Haiku — well-suited to simple, high-volume real tasks. A balanced, real production model — currently Claude Sonnet — the honest, default choice for most genuine, everyday work. And a most-capable, real flagship model — currently Claude Opus — for the hardest, real problems, at the highest real cost. Anthropic has also introduced a newer, real tier above Opus called Mythos, for especially demanding, frontier real use cases. As always, these specific real names will continue to change over time — the real, underlying tiering pattern is what genuinely stays consistent.
Haiku is fast and cost-efficient. Sonnet is the real, balanced default. Opus is the most capable, for the hardest real problems — the same lasting tier pattern, applied to Claude's actual, current lineup.
